On the living-room phone or their own. The parent lock protects what needs protecting.
A profile, not an account
On Familyzap the account belongs to the household. Kids have a profile: a first name, a face, a birthdate if you want the catalog to adapt. No login details, no password to forget, nothing to reset. On the start screen, everyone taps their face. That is all.
Parents keep control
Settings, creating quests, approving rewards and adjusting points need the parent code. A child can tick their quests and browse the shop, not change the rules. If an older one has their own phone, a parent sends an invite link: the phone stays on their face, still without an account.

Can a child pretend to be another?
On the shared phone they can tap the wrong face, yes, just like they can stick a sibling's sticker on a paper chart. Parent approvals and the history sort that out quickly.
What do kids see?
Their quests, the house board, the shop, their points and badges, the calendar and the chat. Not the settings.
