Familyzap
Terms of use
House rules, online-service edition. By using Familyzap you accept them. We tried to write them the way we speak.
Actualizado el 30 septiembre 2026
1. What this is about
Familyzap is a family organisation app (chores, calendar, points, rewards, household messaging) published by DAHULAB (SAS), hereafter "the publisher" or "we". It is available at familyzap.com and at each home's own address, from a browser, without installation.
These terms of use ("Terms") apply to the account holder and, through them, to everyone who uses the home's profiles. They complement the legal notice and the privacy policy.
2. Access to the service
Familyzap is free.
The service is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it running, without guaranteeing permanent availability or the absence of bugs. The service may be changed, suspended or stopped at any time, in particular for maintenance.
An internet connection and a recent browser are required. Connection costs are yours.
3. The account and the profiles
The home account
A home is created by an adult aged 18 or over, holding parental authority over or responsible for the children involved. The account (first name, e-mail, password) is the key to the home: it gives access to every setting and makes its holder responsible for everything done from the home.
- One home = one account. Other parents and children are profiles, not accounts.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials and the parent code confidential, and for the use of devices on which the home is open.
- The account can be protected with two-factor authentication and passkeys.
The profiles
Each profile (first name, parent or child role, colour, photo, birth date, optional code) is created and managed by a parent. By creating a child's profile you declare that you are allowed to do so and accept that their data is processed as described in the privacy policy. A child identified on a device only sees what the home shares; settings, validation and rewards stay behind the parent lock.
4. Content posted in the home
First names, profile photos, proof photos, messages and pictures in the room are provided by the home's members and visible only to them. You undertake that they are not:
- abusive, hateful, discriminatory, sexual or violent;
- the image of a person outside the home without their consent;
- contrary to the law or to third-party rights (copyright, image, trademark).
By uploading a photo you warrant that you hold the rights to it and grant us the right to store it and show it to the members of your home for as long as it stays in the app. A parent can delete any content in the home. We may remove content or suspend an account, without notice, if these rules are not followed.
5. Fair use
Not allowed:
- trying to access a home other than yours, or data that is not yours;
- disrupting the service: overload, abusive automation, exploiting a bug;
- using the room to harass a member of the home.
In case of breach we may suspend or delete an account and block access.
6. Points, badges and rewards
Points, streaks, levels, badges and the hero title are purely honorary and internal to the home. They have no monetary value, cannot be transferred or exchanged outside the app, and may be recalculated if a rule changes or a bug is fixed. Shop rewards are defined and honoured by the home's parents, not by the publisher.
7. Intellectual property
Familyzap, its name, logo, texts, visuals and code belong to DAHULAB or their authors. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service to organise your home. No copying, reverse engineering or commercial reuse without written agreement.
The content you post in your home remains yours.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, DAHULAB cannot be held liable for indirect damages related to the use of the service (data loss, unavailability, family disagreement about who was meant to take the bins out), nor for content provided by the home's members. As the service is free, our potential liability is limited to cases of proven fault.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
9. Suspension, termination
You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your home by writing to contact [arroba] familyzap [punto] com from the account's address. We may suspend or delete an account in case of breach of the Terms, or after a long period of inactivity (see retention periods in the privacy policy). A deleted home cannot be recovered.
10. Changes
We may change these Terms, in particular when the service changes. The update date appears at the top of the page. For significant changes, a notice will be shown in the app or sent to the account holder. Continuing to use the service after the effective date counts as acceptance.
11. Governing law, disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. In case of disagreement, write to us first at contact [arroba] familyzap [punto] com : we prefer to settle things amicably. Failing agreement, French courts have jurisdiction. The European online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
